Clayton J. Barker Someday I’d like to paint
a picture A scene of brilliant hue, With emotions worth a
thousand words I’d paint the ocean blue. I’d paint the rocky
shores of love An enchanted world
untold, From the misty corners of
my soul I’d pain the silence
gold. A portrait so perfect in
every way My destiny recreated, Forever cast in warm
arrays The beauty so captivated. I’d paint a meadow while
green with envy Where mellow moods
prevail, and yellow from the
summer sun to light the darkest
trail. With all the colours of
life’s experience Displayed inside my mind, My composition would be
complete For my wanting hands to
find. But before the final
brush stroke dries My wish and fondest
dream, Is that I climb into the
frame And walk along the scene. Someday beyond in wiseness aged My thoughts will always
be, Though words are vacant
from my tongue The memories will linger
free. In a place where
wondering eyes behold I’ll stand the test of
time, In a picture-perfect
canvas world That moment will be mine… |
